Module 3 - Designing Your Space Colony
Finally, we're ready to start the competition. The information you learned in Modules 1 and 2 will help you as you work on creating your Space Colony. Modules 4 and 5 will give you some extra help on how the exterior (outside) and interior (inside) of your space colony should look.
Remember, this is YOUR space colony, so it needs to look the way YOU want it to look. It needs to have the things you want it to have. However, it must follow the rules of science. You can't imagine up things for your space station that just aren't possible.
There are 4 things due for this project:
1. Drawing of the space colony (in color)
- Draw a picture of what your space colony would look like floating in space. Module 4 will help give you ideas.
2. Drawing of the interior city of the space colony (in color)
- Draw a picture of what the inside city of your space colony would look like. Module 5 will help give you ideas.
3. Drawing of the inside of a house inside your space colony (in color)
- Draw a picture of what the inside of the houses would look like on your space colony. Module 5 will help give you ideas.
4. Descriptive Plan for the Space Colony
Each drawing must be on a separate piece of plain white paper. Make sure you put your name on the back and turn it in to the teacher.
The Descriptive Plan will be typed and saved on the computer. This will be submitted to Mr. Hawkins when you are finished. You will put it on a USB and turn it in when Mr. Hawkins returns.

Module 4 and Module 5 will help you design your drawings and fill out information for your Descriptive Plan. You can also revisit Module 1 and Module 2 to go over the information you've already learned.
