What the completed project should look like...

Picture
1. Notice how after the trait number, there is a description of what the trait is.

2. To answer the father and mother questions, you can simply answer with a yes or a no. OR you can answer with what they do have. For example, for my father, I could say he has blond hair or I could say No. For my mother, I could say she has brown hair, or I could say Yes.

3. For the number of siblings, write how many of your siblings have the trait out of the total number. For example, if you have 5 kids in your family and three of you have a trait in common, you would say 3 out of 5.

4. Is this trait Dominant or Recessive? You need to do some research on this to find the answer. There are some links below that can help you with this.

5. Finding the probable alleles of your Father and Mother can be tricky. It may not be perfect, but we can make a good, educated guess.

6. Fill out the Punnett Square using the probable alleles you chose for your parents.
